Our day with a Viking!

Monday 26th February 2018

On Friday, year six were visited by Clive Pig, a Viking re-enactor. They had a variety of fun activities to do!

It started off with Clive (Bjorn Bjonson) playing some Viking music as year six walked into the hall. Clive told year six some funny Viking stories and acted out many well-known Viking gods / goddesses. One of the year six pupils told us he was amazed how he managed to act out ten different characters.

The day was rounded off with Viking crafts and Clive told year six another story which they acted out in groups. Miss Guest said, “Today has been marvellous and it will really help the pupils with their Viking homework.”

Our day with a Viking Warrior

Monday 26th February 2018

On Friday 23rd February 2018, the year 6 pupils of Hanham Abbots were visited by international story-teller Clive Pig. The year sixes were engaged in a range of different activities such as story re-enacting and classroom workshops.

Clive Pig, also known as Bjorn Bjonson, played Viking music and showed the year six pupils various Viking weapons.

“He introduced us with strange music before telling us his name,” said William Morgan.

Many of the students described him as funny and exciting as well as knowledgeable on the topic, history.

Clive Pig showed year 6 a variety of Viking tools such as a Viking shield, battle-axe and a sword. Miss Guest said that it was fascinating and hilarious.

A fascinating and fun day was had by all and it’s safe to say that everyone was sad to see the funny man go.
